These "floating cues" live integrated between products on different PLPS. They were executed daily and often with a quick turn around to adhere to business-critical needs as they showcased different promotions to shoppers.

COOKEASE
UX/UI DESIGN, 2018
Baking is fun but can often become an expensive or overwhelming task. CookEase is a mobile app that helps users find simple and cost-efficient recipes without getting lost in the sea of options out there.
Problems
1. Baking ingredients can add up to be quite costly.
2. Searching online for a simple recipe can lead to an overwhelming amount of options that can be hard to choose from
​
3. People often have various ingredients in their cupboards that they don't know how to combine together into a dessert.
Objectives
1. Provide cost efficient options by offering users with simple dessert recipes made up of ingredients they already own.

2. Streamline the process of finding and saving simple recipes all in one place.
​
3. Offer easy-to-navigate exploration for novice bakers looking to discover new recipes.

Enter and Edit Your Inventory
Discover recipes that can be made with items already in your kitchen by logging your inventory.
Explore Recipes That Use Ingredients You Already Own
Once you have filled out your inventory of ingredients, you can browse through recipes that you can make with.




Create and Edit Sets
Create smaller sets from the recipes you have already starred and edit them later
Search and Star
Explore recipes by searching keywords from the Home Page.
Star certain recipes to save them for later viewing.

Wireframes
INVENTORY
This first row of wireframes shows the different screens under the Inventory section. Users can toggle between "My Inventory" and "Add Items" The items in "My Inventory" can be tapped to open the quantity changer pop up.





STARRED
This second row of wireframes shows the different screens under the Starred section. Users can toggle between all the recipes they have starred and the sets made from these starred recipes. Users can create a new set by pressing the plus button in the upper right hand corner and add to the set. Editing the set can be done by press the see more icon in the upper right hand corner.





HOME & RECIPES
The following wireframes show the Home Page on the left and the recipes on the four right screens. If there are not enough items in the inventory the "Got the Goods" tab on the left will provide the user with feedback that they need to log more ingredients. Once the user has done so, they can switch between viewing recipes that can be made solely of items already owned by the user and viewing recipes that requires only a few more ingredients than the ones logged in the inventory. The last screen shows the instruction of the ingredient.





User Personas
Sarah the Undergrad
Sarah is a undergraduate student in her final year. As she is about to graduate she is planning a trip to travel around Asia for a month. She is trying all ways to cut corners in spending money but does not want to give up her favorite destresing activity: baking. She wants to be able to keep making rewarding desserts as she enters her final stretch of college finals but does not want to spend any extraneous money on ingredients. She uses CookEase to find recipes that can be made with materials she already owns. This way she can keep up her sweet tooth without making a large dent in her savings.

Deevan the Best Friend
Deevan’s best friend’s birthday is coming up next week and he is throwing her a surprise party. Almost everything is ready to go except the most important part: the cake! Deevan, trying to be cost efficient and personal wants to make the cake for the birthday girl. In his lulls of free time on his phone he has been exploring birthday dessert ideas on CookEase and has added them all to a set. Now it is time for him to narrow down the list. Deevan opens the app, goes to his starred receipes and to the Birthday Ideas set. He looks for a recipe that he likes and gets cracking in the kitchen!

Jasmine the Novice Baker
Jasmine is coming home on the bus after a long hard day and is all she wants is some therapy chocolate. As she needs to go to the supermarket anyway, she decides to turn this into a baking opportunity. As a novice baker, she was a simple recipe to make an easy but fufilling chocolate dessert. She uses CookEase to explore chocolate dessert options and creates a set she can always return the next time she feels a choclate craving kicking.
