These "floating cues" live integrated between products on different PLPS. They were executed daily and often with a quick turn around to adhere to business-critical needs as they showcased different promotions to shoppers.


PALETTE

Palette is a mobile app that helps users create their desired colors with oil paints. Mixing paint to match a specific color can be difficult for novice painters, so Palette guides its users as they learn how the various paints interact.

Lauren is taking her first undergraduate visual art class: figure painting. Although she knows the basics of color theory, she is unfamiliar with the more intricate details of paint mixing. As she often paints her work from photos, she wants to be able to make the exact colors she sees in the image. However, since it is her first time using oil paints, she has trouble making the exact tones she wants.

To get started with Palette the user has to input their accessible paint colors. Palette will then provide mixing combinations using the colors from the user's existing palette. If a color cannot be mixed with the users present options, Palette will both suggest the paints necessary to mix the desired color as well as suggest closely-hued alternatives that can be made from the accessible paints.

If the user is not choosing a color from a specific image, then they select a color from a color picker.

If a desired color comes from an image, the user can upload the photo.
If the user uploads a photo, but wants to return to the homepage to make a different action, when they return to upload an image, the same image will be left in tact.

In order to upload an entirely new image, the user can press the photo icon o the upper right corner.

The user can swipe right to see the rest of the colors to be included in the mix

If the user's palette does not include the paints needed to make the chosen color, then the combination is shown with the missing paints faded out. This way if the user really wishes to make that specific color, they can obtain the needed colors.
If the user wishes to make a similar color possible with their palette, then alternate options that can be made with the are shown. These options can be accessed by tapping the HEX color sample.
